Role Overview: My Client is seeking a Principal Software Engineer with a strong background in .NET Core and cloud-native systems.
This role offers the opportunity to work within a high-performing agile team, a mix of 50% hands-on development and 50% leadership and strategy.
You'll help design and build distributed systems and APIs, while mentoring others and promoting best practices in engineering delivery.
- Design, build and maintain robust, scalable applications and services
- Ensure software meets business needs, aligns with technical strategy, and is delivered to a high standard
- Work closely with architects and product teams to refine requirements and deliver solutions
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, introducing new tools, practices, or technologies
- Mentor junior engineers and help shape technical decision-making within the team
- Expert-level C# development with recent experience in .NET Core and .NET Framework
- Experience leading small development teams
- Experience designing and building distributed, event-driven systems
- Strong API development skills (REST and/or GraphQL)
- Proficient in relational databases (MSSQL, MySQL, etc.)
- Experience deploying and managing applications in AWS environments
- Hands-on involvement across the SDLC including QA and production support
- Salary up to £100k
- Hybrid working (3 days in office)
