Award-winning journalist Maria Ahmed will cover the essentials of journalistic writing from content, language, structure to style and voice. You’ll get an introduction to news, features, reviews and writing for online audiences, and learn from inspiring examples.

Maria is a multidisciplinary arts practitioner & educator and currently teaches for the University of the Arts Bournemouth. She was a senior lecturer in the school of journalism and publishing at Kingston University for 15 years, where she helped many young writers to launch their careers. Prior to teaching, Maria was a journalist on national publications for a decade and won awards for her reporting on social issues.
This workshop is open to everyone.
