Job description

CABN are recruiting for a new role within the project – a freelance Project Coordinator. This is a fantastic opportunity to join us at a pivotal time, helping to shape and deliver our programme for creatives across the Scottish Borders.

The Project Coordinator will play a central part in supporting and growing CABN’s work, overseeing delivery of our year-round activities and leading on creative development. Working closely with the Southern Uplands Partnership (SUP), who engage the role, the Coordinator will also line-manage two part-time freelance posts: Catalyst for Communication and Catalyst for Engagement.

What the Role Involves
  • Delivering a programme of networking and skill-sharing opportunities for local creatives.
  • Overseeing CABN’s multi-artform small grant scheme.
  • Coordinating the Advocate mentoring programme, delivered with nine freelance artform specialists.
  • Supporting sector communications, promotion, and marketing.
  • Engaging with our membership and steering group, while also contributing to planning and fundraising for CABN’s future.
Role Details

Freelance, Fixed Term (with potential to extend pending funding)

Period of work: 1 December 2025 – 30 September 2026 (10 months)

Hours: 21 hours / 3 days per week, worked flexibly

Location: Home-based / SUP Office, Galashiels

Fee: £200 per day
