The HSE Manager will lead and oversee all aspects of health, safety, and environmental compliance within the industrial and manufacturing sector. Based in Wigan, this role requires a proactive approach to maintaining safe working practices and ensuring regulatory adherence.

As the HSE Manager you will be tasked with the following;

• Develop and implement effective health, safety, and environmental policies across the organisation.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE legislation and regulations within the industrial and manufacturing sector.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and audits, addressing any issues promptly.
• Deliver HSE training and awareness programmes for employees at all levels.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with department leads to foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Maintain accurate records and provide detailed HSE reports to senior management.
• Act as the primary point of contact for external regulatory bodies and auditors.

A successful HSE Manager should have:

• A strong background in health, safety, and environmental management within the industrial and manufacturing sector.
• Relevant qualifications in HSE or a related field.
• Proven experience in implementing and maintaining HSE systems and policies.
• Excellent knowledge of current HSE legislation and regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem–solving skills.
• Effective communication and leadership abilities.

• Competitive salary in the range of 45000 to 50,000, depending on experience.
• Company pension scheme with a 3% employer contribution and 5% employee contribution.
