Job summary
A leading staffing agency is looking for an Interim Deskside and End User Support Engineer in Great Yarmouth. This role involves providing hands-on IT support in a corporate setting, addressing issues related to hardware, software, and connectivity. The ideal candidate should have experience in Level 1 support, strong communication skills, and familiarity with Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 applications. The position will run from December 29, 2025, to January 26, 2026.

Interim Deskside and End User Support Engineer

We are seeking an Interim Level 1 Engineer to provide hands on deskside and end user support within a corporate office environment. This is a customer facing role requiring strong troubleshooting skills, clear communication and the ability to work independently in a fast paced setting.
The Engineer will act as the first point of contact for onsite IT issues, ensuring users are supported efficiently and professionally while adhering to agreed service levels.
- Provide first line deskside IT support to end users across hardware software and connectivity issues
- Diagnose and resolve incidents and service requests within agreed SLAs
- Install configure and support Windows 10 and Windows 11 laptops desktops printers and peripherals
- Support Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook Teams and SharePoint
- Carry out basic Active Directory tasks including password resets account unlocks and permissions
- Escalate more complex issues to second and third line teams when required
- Log update and close tickets accurately within the IT service management system
- Deliver a professional and customer focused service at all times
- Previous experience in a Level 1 or deskside support role within a corporate or managed services environment
- Strong working knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11
- Good understanding of Microsoft 5 and common end user applications
- Basic Active Directory experience
- Familiarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently
