Job summary

A leading staffing agency is looking for an Interim Deskside and End User Support Engineer in Great Yarmouth. This role involves providing hands-on IT support in a corporate setting, addressing issues related to hardware, software, and connectivity. The ideal candidate should have experience in Level 1 support, strong communication skills, and familiarity with Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 applications. Interim Deskside and End User Support Engineer

Overview

We are seeking an Interim Level 1 Engineer to provide hands on deskside and end user support within a corporate office environment. This is a customer facing role requiring strong troubleshooting skills, clear communication and the ability to work independently in a fast paced setting.

The Engineer will act as the first point of contact for onsite IT issues, ensuring users are supported efficiently and professionally while adhering to agreed service levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide first line deskside IT support to end users across hardware software and connectivity issues
  • Diagnose and resolve incidents and service requests within agreed SLAs
  • Install configure and support Windows 10 and Windows 11 laptops desktops printers and peripherals
  • Support Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook Teams and SharePoint
  • Carry out basic Active Directory tasks including password resets account unlocks and permissions
  • Escalate more complex issues to second and third line teams when required
  • Log update and close tickets accurately within the IT service management system
  • Deliver a professional and customer focused service at all times
Skills and Experience Required
  • Previous experience in a Level 1 or deskside support role within a corporate or managed services environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11
  • Good understanding of Microsoft 5 and common end user applications
  • Basic Active Directory experience
  • Familiarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently
