Job summary

Interim Legal Counsel - Global Consulting - start in January 2026 -£500-£700 per day.

Marsden are recruiting for a Legal Counsel to join a global consulting firm on an initial six-month contract, starting in January, with potential to extend. The role is central London based with hybrid working (3 days in the office / 2 remote) and offers a competitive day rate (inside IR35).

This is a broad corporate and commercial role, well suited to a mid-senior level lawyer with strong experience in commercial contracts, employment, and data privacy.

As part of a busy in-house legal team, responsibilities will include:

  • Drafting, negotiating, and advising on a wide range of commercial agreements, from NDAs and letters of engagement through to MSAs and transaction documents.
  • Supporting on contractual disputes.
  • Assisting with major corporate transactions, including global strategic projects and M&A.
  • Advising on employment matters, including settlement agreements and employee‑related issues.
  • Supporting on data privacy matters, including DSARs, investigations, and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborating closely with the wider legal and compliance team on BAU and project work.

You will be at least 3 years PQE (as a guide), with experience gained in a respected corporate/commercial private practice or in‑house environment. Strong technical drafting skills are essential, along with the ability to operate effectively within a fast‑paced team.
