A leading financial services consultancy in London seeks an experienced Technical Accountant to support an international Energy client. Responsibilities include reviewing fair value policy changes and guiding technical accounting policies. The ideal candidate should be a fully qualified accountant with extensive experience in energy or financial services. This pivotal role reports to the Group Financial Controller and contributes to a large-scale finance transformation.
Review and assessment of change to fair value policy for certificates
Produce board papers for any proposed policy changes, plus stakeholder management.
Drive policy development and develop the transition impact review with supporting advice to the business
Support the year-end process with updates to disclosures and accounting policies under IFRS
Review accounting obligations and preparation of accounting memos in relation to business acquisitions
Ownership of capex assessment for system related projects
Ad hoc technical accounting tasks
Global Accounting Network are partnering with an international Energy client who are looking for an interim Technical Accountant with comprehensive IFRS knowledge. IFRS 9 & 13 in particular.
This is a pivotal standalone role that reports to the Group Financial Controller. As the organisation undergoes a large-scale finance transformation to build a best-in-class function, this role will help shape technical accounting policies and enhance control frameworks.
