Job summary
A respected recruitment agency is seeking a proficient Planning and Highways Lawyer for a part-time, remote role based in Leeds. This interim position involves providing legal expertise on planning and highways matters, and includes working closely with council officers on significant public sector projects. The contract is for an initial 3 months, with the possibility of extension, and offers a competitive rate of up to £55 per hour.

- Experience with drafting and negotiating legal agreements.
- Ability to work collaboratively with council officers.

- Draft and negotiate legal agreements including s.106 and s.278.

- Providing expert legal advice on planning, large-scale development, and highways matters.
- Drafting, negotiating, and advising on legal agreements, including s.106 and s.278 agreements.
- Collaborating with council officers to support planning and highways projects, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: Initial 3-month contract, with a strong potential for extension.
- Working Arrangements: Part Time, 20-25 hours a week. Fully remote working available.
- Rate: Up to £55 per hour (via umbrella)
