Job summary
A recruitment agency is seeking Teaching Assistants to cover shifts in schools across various locations in Hengoed. Candidates must have ALN experience and qualifications such as NVQ3 for Teaching Assistants. Responsibilities include supporting children with learning needs and working collaboratively with a team in an educational setting.

Need to have ALN - (additional learning needs) experience
- NVQ3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualifications or experience.
- GCSE English and Maths A - C or equivalent.
- Training in the relevant strategies e.g. literacy and/or in particular curriculum or learning area e.g. dyslexia, ICT, Maths, English etc
- Full working knowledge of relevant national/foundation phase curriculum and other relevant learning programmes/strategies.
- Understanding of principles of child development and learning processes.
- Effective use of ICT to support learning.
- Experience of working with children of relevant age.
- Ability to self-evaluate learning needs and actively seek learning opportunities.
- Ability to relate well with children and adults.
- Work constructively as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities and your own position within these.
