Job summary
A community support organization in Tewkesbury is seeking a compassionate Community Care Worker to provide vital support and assistance to individuals in need. The ideal candidate will assist with personal care tasks, prepare meals, and administer medications while also offering companionship and emotional support. Previous experience in a nursing home or hospice setting is preferred, along with strong communication skills and a caring nature. This position offers a bank contract and various benefits including additional leave and a company pension.

- Manage challenging behaviours with patience and understanding
- Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals in their homes or nursing facilities
- Implement care plans tailored to each client's specific needs, including hospice care if required
- Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a nursing home or hospice setting
- Knowledge of patient care practices and procedures
- Ability to drive to clients' homes or care facilities as needed
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families
- A caring and empathetic approach to delivering care services
- Relevant qualifications in health and social care would be advantageous
- Home care: 1 year (preferred)
