Senior Wellbeing & Safeguarding Lead — Higher Education
Job summary
A leading university in Greater Manchester is looking for a Senior Wellbeing Coordinator to oversee mental health and wellbeing services. This role includes managing a triage service and acting as Deputy Safeguarding Officer. The ideal candidate should have substantial experience in mental health settings, strong communication skills, and the ability to work with diverse student populations. The position requires flexibility and effective management of competing deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications
- Credible experience working with individuals experiencing complex mental health difficulties.
- Excellent knowledge of psychological interventions.
- Experience working within a higher education (HE) setting.
Responsibilities
- Oversee a triage service to students seeking mental health and wellbeing support.
- Identify risks and safeguarding concerns in a timely manner.
- Provide effective line management and support to the wellbeing team.
