A leading defence organisation in the UK seeks an Electronic Design Engineer specializing in Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC). This role involves providing design guidance, developing test plans, and ensuring products meet EMC requirements. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in electronic design and significant experience with SPICE tools. Salary: Up to £55,000, depending on experience/grade
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2 - 3 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.
The Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Radiation Effects (RE) department is split between a test team working hands on in our state of the art EMC Facility to simulate environments and a highly skilled project consultancy team that is embedded across all projects within MBDA to ensure good EMC practice & design.
This role is in our EMC Project Team who support MBDA programmes throughout the full engineering lifecycle. It will specifically will focus on design for EMC and RE. The successful candidate will have significant experience in analogue and digital electronics design with an awareness or specialism in EMC and/or RF systems.
The EMC design engineer will focus on providing the project teams with advice and guidance on the design of products to ensure that they meet the EMC requirements, they will also be responsible for designing and producing test plans and bespoke electronic test solutions. They will support the development of unique test capability for the facility.
