Main duties of the job
  • Support the clinical team in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care across both sites.
  • Undertake routine observations (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, height, weight, BMI).
  • Perform phlebotomy and ECGs;
  • Conduct urinalysis and assist with long-term condition reviews (frailty, respiratory, cardiovascular, diabetes, hypertension).
  • Record key QOF indicators (smoking status, alcohol intake, BMI, blood pressure) and assist with flu and B12 injections.
  • Carry out NHS Health Checks, frailty assessments, and lifestyle screening.
  • Provide basic wound care (if trained); deliver health promotion advice and encourage self-care and prevention.
  • Ensure accurate clinical coding in EMIS Web; maintain infection control and CQC standards; support QOF/LES achievement through documentation.
  • Work as part of a team with flexibility and commitment to continuous learning through meetings, audits and mandatory training.
