Finance Manager – Trowbridge, Wiltshire (office-based). £50,000. Morgan Mckinley are working exclusively with an established and growing company based in Trowbridge. They're on the lookout for an experienced and motivated Finance Manager to join their tight-knit team and play a key role in supporting both internal operations and external clients.
This is a commercially focused, hands-on finance role within a small but growing business. Reporting to the Finance Director, you'll take full ownership of day-to-day financial operations, from producing monthly management reports and balance sheet reconciliations to overseeing VAT returns and supervising one Accounts Assistant. With a varied customer portfolio and plenty of scope for input into systems and process improvements, this is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys end-to-end finance and wants to make a real impact.
- Manage one Accounts Assistant (purchase ledger, receipts, payments)
- Prepare monthly management accounts with commentary (accruals/prepayments etc.)
- Balance sheet and bank reconciliations
- VAT returns (in-house and client-side)
- Payment runs and financial reporting for multiple stakeholders
- Support budgeting and variance analysis
- Contribute to ad-hoc projects and team cover as needed
- Several years' experience in a finance management role
- Strong understanding of accounting procedures and core business principles
- Confident producing reports, reconciling accounts, and working to deadlines
- Strong Excel skills (intermediate level)
- Experience with AP, AR and supervising team member
- Detail-focused, organised, and a great communicator
- £50,000 salary
