Job summary
A growing North East Derbyshire organisation is seeking a Finance Manager to take full ownership of the accounting function. The role involves ensuring the finance function enhances client and supplier relationships, producing monthly performance reports, and handling VAT and payroll processes. The ideal candidate will be ACCA/CIMA qualified or near qualification, possess strong communication skills, and thrive in a flexible, independent working environment.

Responsibilities
- Ensure finance function supports client and supplier relations.
- Produce monthly MI pack and review KPIs.
- Handle VAT, payroll, and regulatory returns.
- Support external accountants with annual financial statements.
- Communicate financial goals to the entire team.

- Ensuring the finance function contributes positively to client and supplier relationships
- Transactional processing
- Producing the monthly MI pack, including the review of KPIs and forecasting
- Processing VAT, payroll and all associated regulatory returns
- Providing financial support to colleagues on key projects
- Supporting our external accountants in preparing annual statutory financial statements
- Effective communication of financial objectives across the business to the whole team
- Designing and introducing process automation where appropriate
- Drive efficiency & ROI across the businesses
- Strategic planning of financial activities
- Strong communication and organisational skills to be able to work under pressure and tight timescales
- ACCA/CIMA qualified or latter stages
- Confident communication
- Ability to work independently
