Job summary
A service organisation based in Cirencester is looking for a Financial Controller to lead management account production and manage a small finance team. This role is perfect for a management accountant aiming for their first head of finance position. Responsibilities include month-end closing, balance sheet maintenance, and supporting system implementation, ideal for candidates with line management experience and financial analysis skills.
Qualifications
- Experience producing a full set of management accounts required.
- Previous line management experience necessary.
- Desirable to have experience with different finance systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead month end close and production of management accounts.
- Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and revenue recognition.
- Manage and mentor a small team.
- Provide analysis and commentary around month end results.
- Support new system implementation.
- Monitor and develop ongoing process improvements.
- Assist with year end statutory accounts.
