A recruitment agency is supporting a council in finding a temporary Senior Finance Manager for an initial 3-month contract in England. The role involves ensuring compliance with financial regulations, delivering finance functions, and advising on budgetary matters. Candidates should hold a full CCAB qualification or be studying towards it, possess strong public sector finance knowledge, and have excellent analytical skills. This position offers an opportunity to work on various transformational initiatives within the council.
Qualifications
- Full CCAB qualification or actively studying toward it (preferably CIPFA).
- Strong understanding of public sector finance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Responsabilités
- Ensure compliance with statutory and legislative requirements.
- Deliver and develop accountancy and finance functions.
- Contribute to the Council's Statement of Accounts.
