A finance recruitment agency is seeking a Finance Manager for a hybrid role based in Birmingham. The position involves managing the full finance function for an SME over a 6-month contract, with a pay rate of £350 - £425 per day. Immediate start is available for a proactive candidate who can work autonomously and handle detailed finance processes.

- Experience in an SME environment as a Finance Manager or similar.
- Able to manage the full finance function independently.
- Available to start at short notice.
Responsibilities
- Support the end-to-end finance process, including invoicing and month-end reporting.
- Manage cash flow, reconciliations, and management accounts.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
Skills
Finance Manager (SME) - Birmingham - Hybrid (2 days on-site, 3 days remote)
Day rate: £350 - £425 (Outside IR35)
Contract: 6 months (urgent start)
- Support the end-to-end finance process, from invoicing and credit control to month-end reporting
- Support cash flow, reconciliations, and management accounts
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Work closely with leadership to provide insightful financial analysis
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements
- Strong track record as a Finance Manager, Financial Controller, or similar role in an SME environment
- Comfortable working autonomously and managing the full finance function
- Hands-on approach - not afraid to get involved in the detail
- Available to start at short notice
Location: Birmingham (2 days on site, 3 days from home)
Contract: 6 months (initial)
Rate: £350 - £425 per day (Outside IR35)
