Job summary

A family-owned business in Northern Ireland is seeking a Group Finance Assistant. The role includes managing daily cash reconciliations, assisting with tax filings, and ensuring proper processing of financial documents. Candidates should have at least 2 years of finance experience, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and preferably an AAT qualification. Job description

The role of the Group Finance Assistant is assisting with management accounts, supporting the Group Finance Manager and other management team members; improving, documenting and ensuring processes are followed.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with completion of daily cash reconciliations.
  • Responsible for completion of bank reconciliation.
  • Assist with completion of tax filings including intrastate returns, TSS and other customs declarations.
  • Responsible for posting and reconciliation of company credit cards.
  • Contribute to the month end finance process including posting of journals.
  • Responsible for reconciliation of certain balance sheet accounts including fixed assets.
  • Responsible for management of debtors ledger, including posting of cash received.
  • Use of the Document management system (Docuware) for invoice processing and approvals.
  • Other ad-hoc finance tasks as required.
Skills and Qualifications
  • 2 years' or more previous experience working within a busy finance role within the last 5 years.
  • Previous experience completing a bank reconciliation.
  • Competent using Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook and Excel.
  • AAT Qualification.
  • Experience of working within hospitality or retail industry.
  • Experience within a family run business.
Further Information

25-30 hours per week. Salary dependant on experience (£26,500 to £27,750 pro rata 37.5hrs week)
