Job summary

A well-known recruitment agency is seeking an Interim Finance Manager for an SME client in the manufacturing sector, based in Greater Manchester. This role involves producing monthly management accounts, preparing statutory accounts, and liaising with auditors. Candidates must have advanced Excel skills and prior finance management experience, especially in manufacturing. The contract is full-time and office-based with a salary of £70,000 pro rata or day rate equivalent, starting immediately.

Interim Finance Manager - £70,000 pro rata 6 Month FTC or day rate equivalent (inside IR35)

We are only looking for candidates who are available to start before Christmas and are already based in GREATER MANCHESTER

Sellick Partnership is recruiting an Interim Finance Manager for our SME client in the manufacturing sector, based in North Manchester.

The Role

Our client requires an experienced finance professional to provide interim support, focusing on year-end processes, monthly management accounts, and audit liaison. You'll oversee finance BAU activities, some treasury activities and ensure accurate balance sheet reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Producing monthly management accounts and group submissions
  • Preparing statutory accounts and year-end provisions
  • Liaising with external auditors
  • Reviewing AP, AR and General Ledgers
  • Overseeing cash flow forecasting and payment approvals
  • Managing fixed asset register and depreciation
Essential Requirements
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Proven experience in a similar finance management role
  • Manufacturing industry experience
  • Strong technical accounting skills with expertise in fixed asset and stock accounting
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills across finance and non-finance stakeholders
Desirable
  • CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent qualification
