Job summary
A recruitment specialist in automotive industry is looking for a Finance Director to manage a small finance team in Greater Manchester. This role requires proven experience in financial management and a strong background in profit and loss management, along with qualifications as a Chartered Accountant. - Previous progression from Management Accountant to FD level desirable.

Finance Director Needed in Greater Manchester
Location: Greater Manchester
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm (flexibility required when necessary)
Salary: Basic up to £60,000 per annum
- Oversee and manage a small finance team, including bookkeepers, credit control, and payroll
- Lead on profit and loss management, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Provide financial planning, analysis, and reporting to support business decisions
- Work closely with senior management to drive financial performance and business growth
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and company policies
- Implement and monitor effective financial controls and systems
- Offer strategic advice to the board and stakeholders
- Proven experience as a Finance Director (or similar senior finance role)
- Strong background in profit and loss management
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Must have strong knowledge and experience using Sage accounting software
- Experience within the Automotive sector is highly desirable
- Previous progression from Management Accountant to FD level desirable
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work flexibly and meet business needs
