A firm in Tamworth is seeking a Bookkeeper/Management Accountant for a permanent role. This position involves VAT returns, managing client portfolios, and bookkeeping duties. Candidates must be confident, manage their workload effectively, and have excellent IT skills, particularly with Excel. AAT level 4 is preferred, and the role offers a salary between £28,000 and £32,000 depending on experience. Driving is essential due to the rural location.
Qualifications
- Experience in completing tax returns and statutory accounts beneficial.
- Experience in management accounting is advantageous.

Our client based in the Tamworth area are currently recruiting for a Bookkeeper/Management Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Complete VAT returns
- Managing a portfolio of clients
- Day to day bookkeeping
- Dealing with any enquiries from clients via phone and email
- Prepare financial statements
- Work closely with clients and ensure they are supported throughout
- Occasional client visits
- Management accounts
The successful candidate will:
- Be confident and reliable
- Be able to meet deadlines and manage their own workload
- Must have excellent IT skills including Excel
- Having experience in completing tax returns and statutory accounts is beneficial but not essential
- AAT level 4 and practice experience would also be advantageous
Can consider both part time and full-time hours.
Salary is £28,000 - £32,000 , dependent on experience.
This company is located in a rural part of Tamworth, so being able to drive is essential.
