Job summary
A leading recruitment agency is seeking a part-time Financial Assistant for a prestigious FMCG business in Andover. This role involves supporting the Financial Control Manager with monthly reconciliations, weekly reporting, and Capex tracking. Candidates should have prior finance experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work independently. Contract: 1 January - 30 April | 2-3 Days Per Week - Salary c£35 DOE
As the Financial Assistant, you will provide essential support to the Financial Control Manager and wider finance team, ensuring accurate reporting and smooth month‑end processes during the contract period.
- Complete monthly reconciliation of cash accounts across online D2C, Amazon, and two key B2B customers.
- Produce and deliver weekly reporting of trade deductions.
- Support with journal creation and posting.
- Assist with Capex tracking and reporting.
- Provide month‑end support to the Financial Control Manager, ensuring deadlines and reporting standards are met.
- Prior experience in a finance support, finance assistant, or similar role.
- Exposure to Amazon, D2C, or B2B channels is highly desirable.
- Part‑qualified or currently studying towards a finance qualification (AAT / ACCA / CIMA) beneficial but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail, good Excel skills, and the ability to work independently across 2‑3 days per week.
- Confident communicator with a proactive, problem‑solving mindset.
