Job summary
A leading technology company in Manchester is looking for an AVEVA PI Engineer responsible for the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of AVEVA PI systems. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science, hands-on experience with the AVEVA PI system, and strong knowledge of industrial protocols. This position offers a hybrid working model allowing for flexibility in working from home after settling into the role.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Hands-on experience with AVEVA PI System (formerly OSIsoft PI).
- Strong knowledge of PI Data Archive, PI AF, PI Vision, and PI Interfaces.
- Familiarity with industrial protocols (OPC, Modbus, MQTT).
- Basic scripting skills (PowerShell, Python) for automation.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

- Implement PI Asset Framework (AF) and Event Frames for structured data modeling.

The AVEVA PI Engineer will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and maintaining AVEVA PI systems to support real-time data collection, storage, and visualization for industrial operations. This role involves working closely with operations, IT, and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of PI infrastructure.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver PI-based solutions.
