DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a First Line Manager - Stock Control to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain supervisory practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse procedures, including storing goods and dispatching orders.
- To plan, co-ordinate, supervise and report upon the work activities of a team, providing effective delegation, communication, leadership, motivation, training and development
- Manage daily operational functions and directly undertake such functions as required
- Ensure cycle counts are carried out to meet contractual requirements
- Daily team briefing to include customer news, site news and review of next weeks forecasts
- Recommend and where possible, implement operational process improvements
