Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience in Pega.
  • Experience with Pega 8.x in either Business or Technical Environment.
  • Must have experience in building REST APIs.
  • Strong understanding of Pega architecture and infrastructure.
  • Experience in supporting Pega applications on cloud-based architecture.
  • Knowledge of Pega application frameworks like CLM, Customer Service, etc.

Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Oversee and guide the engineering team within Pega, collaborating closely with business, development, and UK onsite teams to foster innovative solutions.
  • Technical Oversight: Facilitate code reviews, resolve defects, and mentor team members, including junior engineers and partner resources.
  • Project Management: Handle broader delivery aspects such as risk assessment, project planning, and maintaining documentation.
  • Implementation Support: Provide support for off‑hours implementations.
  • GENAI Integration: Leverage Generative AI (GENAI) to enhance automation and drive innovation within the team.
  • Innovation Focus: Continuously seek and implement innovative approaches to improve processes and solutions.
Qualifications
  • Certified Lead System Architect / CSSA: with at least 5 years of experience in Pega.
  • Experience with Pega 8.x: Required in either Pega Business or Pega Technical Environment.
  • REST API Development: Must have experience in building REST APIs.
  • Pega Architecture: Strong understanding of Pega architecture and supporting infrastructure.
  • Cloud‑Based Pega Applications: Experience in supporting Pega applications on cloud‑based architecture.
  • Pega Application Frameworks: Knowledge of working with Pega application frameworks like CLM (Customer Lifecycle Manager), Customer Service, Smart Disputes, etc.
  • Application Design: Experience in designing applications from scratch within Pega, including class structure and organisational design.
  • Solution Development: Previous experience in analysis and design of solutions, prototyping, building, testing, implementation, and application support.
Wider Skills
  • Agile Delivery: Experience working in an Agile delivery environment.
  • Clear Communication: Familiar with communicating with business stakeholders, confident in challenging and driving solutions forward with business counterparts.
  • Team Building: Proven experience in bringing together individuals to form a highly effective team with a strong team identity.
  • Leadership: Experience in leading and directing teams of up to 15 engineers, with a strong focus on coaching and mentoring junior team members.
  • Workshop Facilitation: Comfortable driving workshops with established facilitation skills, able to analyse existing processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Growth Mindset: Keen desire to learn and develop further, adaptable when required.
Preferred Additional Skills
  • Front‑End Development: Understanding of React and front‑end development.
  • Tools and Techniques: Experience with JIRA/Confluence and other tools and techniques such as DevOps.
  • Sustainable Solutions: Keen focus on sustainable and cost‑effective technical solutions.
  • Performance Tuning: Experience in performance tuning and analysis via PDC (Predictive Diagnostic Cloud).
