Senior Exposure Management Analyst, Specialty

London, England, United Kingdom

Who we are

Apollo is a specialised independent (re)insurer, established in 2009, to deliver top‑tier products and services to clients, brokers, and capital partners at Lloyd’s. The name "Apollo" was inspired by the achievements of one of its founding investors, Neil Armstrong, the first person to walk on the moon in 1969. Together with Jim Hays, Neil identified an opportunity to create a unique service provider within Lloyd’s. Since its inception, Apollo has significantly broadened its portfolio of insurance solutions. This includes Apollo 1969’s traditional and specialty lines, ibott 1971’s innovative sharing economy products, and managing agency services at Lloyd’s through our Platform Partner Syndicates. Today, Apollo continues to grow with a team of 300 professionals dedicated to fulfilling the company’s mission of enabling a resilient and sustainable world.

“We attract and retain a diverse range of talent by fostering an inclusive, equitable team environment where individuals from all backgrounds have opportunities to grow, succeed, and contribute. We empower our teams to achieve excellence and drive forward‑thinking solutions, aiming to enable a resilient and sustainable world.” - David Ibeson, Group CEO

Your Role

You will join Apollo’s Risk function as a Senior Exposure Management Analyst, supporting a diverse and growing portfolio across Specialty classes. This newly created position strengthens exposure management coverage in areas including Smart Follow, Political Violence and Terrorism (PV&T), and Credit, while enabling the wider team to focus on strategic delivery.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality reporting, strengthening governance, and working closely with underwriters and senior stakeholders to ensure accurate, actionable exposure insights.

What You’ll Do
  • Produce high-quality monthly portfolio reporting for the Exposure Management Working Group and the Underwriting Committee across Specialty, PV&T, Credit, Specialty Disruption, Terror, and Smart Follow.
  • Lead all RDS and RDL submissions and manage wider regulatory reporting, including Extreme Disaster Scenarios, Quarterly Model Completeness Questions, TRIA returns, and Credit RDS onboarding.
  • Develop and maintain Risk Appetite frameworks and support informed underwriting decisions through accurate aggregate data and exposure insight.
  • Provide analytical support to underwriters, including enhancing aggregate data collection and identifying workflow or process improvements.
  • Support aggregate oversight for Smart Follow and contribute to governance activity linked to the Exposure Management Working Group.
  • Provide operational support to the Political Violence and Terrorism area during periods of absence to ensure continuity.
  • Maintain and improve process and procedure documentation and collaborate with senior colleagues on technical development and exposure management initiatives.
What We Are Looking For
  • Proven experience in Exposure Management within the Lloyd’s or wider London Market; experience across multiple Specialty classes, such as PV&T and Credit, is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of aggregate modelling platforms such as Sequel Impact, Risk Link, Risk Modeler, Exposure IQ, or similar; familiarity with Moody’s platforms is advantageous.
  • Deep knowledge of Realistic Disaster Scenario (RDS/RDL) processes, with strong awareness of regulatory reporting requirements and aggregate methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and communicate clear, meaningful insights to underwriters and senior stakeholders.
  • A collaborative and well‑organised team player with the ability to manage competing priorities, maintain accuracy, and drive improvements to workflows and processes.
What you will get in return

Our compensation package is designed to attract top talent. In addition to a fair and attractive salary, this role offers a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive range of benefits, including 31 days of annual leave, a non‑contributory pension and private medical insurance.
