A leading educational support agency is looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to work full-time in Sheffield starting January 2026. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with children with special educational needs. Key responsibilities include supporting children with communication needs and working closely with teachers to provide personalized learning. This role offers a pathway to permanent employment after a successful probation period.

Unique School Solutions is supporting a friendly and inclusive primary school in the S25 area of Sheffield to recruit a SEND Teaching Assistant to work with children with speech, language and communication needs in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. This is a full‑time role to commence in January 2026. Initially, this role will be long‑term temporary; there is the opportunity for a direct school contract for the right candidate with the school, following a successful probation period.
Unique School Solutions is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and applicants will undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers. The role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, and therefore, candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS certificate. The role is engaged in regulated activity and will therefore require a Barred List Check relevant to the post. Shortlisted Applicants will be required to complete a self‑disclosure.
