Based out of Leighton Buzzard with flexible remote working, and reporting to the Director of Electronics & Software, this is a career‑defining opportunity for someone who leads with clarity, influences at scale and builds systems the aviation world can rely on.

• Lead modular electronics transformation and platform strategy
• Direct day‑to‑day technical delivery across global teams
• Ensure full compliance to DO-254 / ARP‑4754
• Act as a specialist in requirements management & traceability
• Influence system architecture from concept through certification
• Translate safety & hazard analysis into robust technical requirements
• Strengthen lifecycle discipline and engineering quality at scale

• Modular architecture evolution & design reuse strategy
• High‑integrity electronics in complex certification frameworks
• Scaling engineering maturity across multi‑region teams
• Collaboration across electronics, software, systems & safety domains

• Expert level communication skills, able to communicate at all levels of the organization (design team, customer, executive, etc.) and tailor communication for intended audience
• Experience driving functional change through technical leadership
• Expert domain knowledge of electronics design compliant with RTCA / DO‑254 and ARP4754
• Deep experience developing with the “V” model and requirements management
• Extensive experience of detailed electronics design for aerospace applications
• Proven experience across the full development life‑cycle, from concept to certification

• Experience with managing safety requirements, working with functional hazard assessments and decomposing them to design

• Agile project management
• Experience with modular electronics and design re‑use strategies

• Experience with Hardware‑in‑Loop and Software‑in‑the‑loop (HIL / SIL) test setups
• ECAD design entry and PCB layout tools (esp. Xpedition & Cadence)
• Experience with Airbus’ ABD0100 Design Assurance Process & Boeing D6
• Experience with microcontrollers based embedded electronics
• Experience with FPGA design using VHDL
• Familiar with FPGA / Electronics verification techniques
• Proficiency with requirements management tools (DOORS / Polarion etc.)
