Integrated Transport Planning (ITP) is our UK-based team of transport planners and engineers. We work with clients who are focused on accelerating the ongoing sustainable mobility and energy transitions that are central to reducing and mitigating the most harmful impacts of climate change. We’re looking for an experienced and driven professional to manage and oversee the delivery of a diverse range of traffic, active travel, public realm, and highway engineering projects for ITP’s Advisory Group in the UK. You’ll provide technical leadership and project management support across multidisciplinary projects for new and existing clients, developing and maintaining strong client relationships within the sector.

• Leading the delivery of traffic, active travel, public realm, and highway/infrastructure engineering projects from concept through to detailed design.
• Acting as Project Director and Project Manager, monitoring financial performance and key performance indicators.
• Reviewing and approving technical designs, drawings, and reports, ensuring compliance with project briefs and UK/regional standards.
• Providing leadership, mentoring, and technical guidance to engineers and designers, supporting team skills and professional development.
• Driving innovation and continuous improvement in design processes, staying up to date with best practice and emerging technologies.
• Developing and maintaining sound client relationships, identifying and realising new commercial opportunities.
• Preparing detailed proposals, client briefs, and fee proposals; contribute to or lead bids.
• Collaborating with other ITP teams and build strong internal relationships within Haskoning’s wider business lines.
• Participating in professional associations, working groups, or industry forums, and contributing to thought leadership and the advancement of the profession.

• A strong consultancy background, with proven experience of delivering highway design projects within the City of London and Westminster, with familiarity of local authority standards, urban constraints, and stakeholder coordination.
• Experience in Section 278/38 Highway approval submissions.
• Experience in public realm design, including streetscape enhancements and integration of urban design principles.
• Strong knowledge of highway design standards and software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D), and familiarity with BIM processes and 3D modelling tools.
• Proven ability to lead teams and deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer status (CEng or equivalent) is highly desirable.
• A growing network of industry contacts and positive client referrals.
