We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Team Leader to join a specialist support service working with women and children affected by gender‑based violence. This role sits within a trauma‑informed, person‑centred service that responds flexibly to the needs of survivors.

As a Team Leader you will supervise and support frontline staff, ensuring high‑quality delivery of refuge and community services while maintaining compliance with safeguarding, legislation and organisational policies. You will oversee case allocation, performance management and service outcomes.

Duties
  • Team Supervision and Support: Overseeing day‑to‑day supervision, guidance and coordination of frontline staff
  • Service Delivery Oversight: Ensuring refuge and community services are delivered efficiently, safely and in line with best practice
  • Case Allocation and Management: Coordinating referrals and allocating caseloads to ensure timely, appropriate support
  • Safeguarding and Compliance: Ensuring compliance with safeguarding procedures, legislation and organisational policies
  • Performance Management: Managing staff performance, conducting appraisals and addressing issues through formal processes where required
  • Data and Quality Assurance: Monitoring accurate record keeping and outcome‑based reporting on case management systems
  • Partnership Working: Developing and maintaining effective relationships with external agencies and stakeholders
  • Service Development: Contributing to policy development, service improvement and strategic objectives
  • Out‑of‑Hours Cover: Participating in the out‑of‑hours management rota and supporting helpline provision when required
Candidate Requirements
Essential
  • Previous experience supervising or managing staff within domestic abuse, social care or community support services
  • A sound understanding of safeguarding adults and children and relevant legislation
  • Experience of delivering trauma‑informed, person‑centred support services
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Excellent communication skills with a compassionate, non‑judgemental approach
  • Ability to work collaboratively with partner agencies and represent services externally
  • Confidence using IT systems for case management, reporting and administration
Desirable
  • Relevant qualification in social work, care management, housing or a related field
  • Safeguarding Lead training or equivalent qualification
  • Experience contributing to service development, policy review or quality assurance
  • Knowledge of substance misuse, mental health or complex needs within domestic abuse services
