Teaching Personnel is working with an outstanding specialist school in Wimbledon that caters to children aged 4-12 with a range of special educational needs, includingAutism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SLCN).
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experiencedSEN Teacherto join their dedicated team, providing tailored education and fostering a nurturing learning environment for pupils with complex needs.
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupils withASD, MLD, SLD, and SLCN.
Use a range of specialist strategies and interventions to support communication, social skills, and academic progress.
Work collaboratively withTeaching Assistants, Therapists, and SENCOto implement EHCPs and monitor pupil progress.
Create acalm, structured, and inclusiveclassroom environment that promotes wellbeing and learning.
Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and external professionals to ensure holistic support.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience teachingSEN (ASD, MLD, SLD, or SLCN).
Strong knowledge ofSEND frameworks, EHCPs, and adaptive teaching strategies.
Experience withPECS, Makaton, TEACCH, or other communication aids(desirable).
Patience, resilience, and achild-centred approachto teaching.
A commitment to ongoing professional development in SEN education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
