A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a prominent residential contractor in the UK. The role involves managing various projects, preparing internal cost reports, and procuring subcontractors. Ideal candidates will have experience with construction contracts such as JCT and NEC, and a solid understanding of cost management. Strong communication skills are essential to liaise with diverse stakeholders. This is an excellent opportunity to work within an established company making a significant impact in the sector.
Qualifications
- Experience working with a contractor in building or housing.
- Familiarity with JCT Design and Build, NEC contracts.
- Ability to prepare cost reports and understand valuation processes.
Responsabilités
- Prepare internal cost reports and CVRs.
- Measure and value main and subcontract accounts.
- Procure subcontractors and manage payments.
- Maintain correspondence and project records.

Elvet Recruitment have been appointed to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a leading residential contractor.
Our client is a well regarded and established contractor who operate with a number of disciplines including commercial and residential.
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor you would be responsible for a number of projects ranging from new build to refurbishment and extensions.
Main duties will include :
- Internal cost reports and CVR’s
- Measurement and valuation of main contract accounts and subcontract accounts
- Subcontractor procurement
- Payments to subcontractors
- Issue and maintain correspondence and records
To be considered, applicants must :
- Working with a contractor, either building or housing.
- JCT Design and Build, NEC and Intermediate forms of contract.
- Preparing take offs and re-measures.
- Understanding the external valuation processes.
- Preparing internal cost reports.
- Understanding changes in design and consequences to time and cost.
- Working with wider teams from various stakeholders.
