As part of our client2s renewable energy team, you'll be installing, testing, and commissioning domestic and commercial solar PV systems. Responsibilities include:
- Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Working confidently with DC and AC circuits, inverters, isolators, and fault finding
- Using remote monitoring systems, data loggers, and apps
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety protocols, RAMS, UK building regulations, and DNO requirements
- Reporting unsafe or non-compliant installations
- Carrying out a full range of electrical works safely and correctly
- Travelling regionally (or nationally where required) with travel time included in working hours
- Being flexible for occasional overtime or weekend work
- Recognised Electrical apprenticeship and/or full electrical qualifications (Essential)
- 18th Edition I.E.E. certification (Essential)
- MCS Accreditation knowledge or experience (Microgeneration Certification Scheme)
- Solar PV Qualifications (one Of The Following)
- City & Guilds 2399 - Solar Photovoltaic Installation
- LCL Awards Level 3 Award in Solar PV Systems
- BPEC Solar PV Installer Course
- ECS Gold Card (or willingness to obtain before start date)
- Knowledge of PAS 2030, G98/G99 regulations, and retrofit/funded work (preferred)
- Previous experience in solar PV or renewables (training available)
- Full UK driving licence (under 7 points)
- Own full set of tools
- A genuine passion for sustainability and innovation
