A leading mental health service provider in the United Kingdom is seeking a Named Nurse for Child Safeguarding. The role involves leading the child safeguarding agenda and ensuring compliance with statutory duties. Candidates must have a current nursing qualification with experience in child safeguarding, along with strong leadership skills. The position offers 27 days of annual leave and additional benefits. This is a fixed term contract until September 2026.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, innovative and highly motivated individual to join the GMMH Corporate Safeguarding Team as the Trusts Named Nurse for Child Safeguarding. The post will be a Secondment Cover/Fixed Term Contract until the 30th September 2026.
The postholder will lead on the child safeguarding agenda and be responsible for ensuring that the Trust carries out its statutory duties in relation to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
The post holder must hold a current nursing qualification and have demonstrable post registration experience in child safeguarding.
Greater Manchester Mental Health (GMMH) Foundation Trust employs over 7000 members of staff, delivering inpatient and community-based mental health care across Greater Manchester and beyond.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
