In this role, you’ll be a system leader for improving the health and wellbeing of our residents, reducing inequalities in health outcomes and protecting local communities from public health hazards. It’s a statutory Chief Officer post, and you will be our principal adviser on all health matters to elected members, officers and partners.

We’re looking for a visionary and strategic leader who can deliver local outcomes through forward thinking, transparent and visible leadership. A track record of consistent impact within public health is a must, and you will have a clear, inspiring focus on improving health outcomes and reducing inequalities within local communities. Instinctively collaborative and able to work effectively with a wide range of partners, you’ll be adept at navigating complex political and financial environments.
