Job summary
A recruitment agency is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support catering services in Care Home settings. Responsibilities include maintaining hygiene standards, preparing food, and cleaning kitchen areas. Ideal candidates will have catering experience and knowledge of food hygiene regulations. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
Qualifications
- Must have experience in catering or service industry.
- Knowledge of Food Hygiene Regulations is essential.
- Enhanced DBS Check on the update service.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the provision of the catering service.
- Ensure food preparation areas are clean and hygienic.
- Wash utensils and ensure proper storage.
Skills
iPeople SC Solutions is currently recruiting for Kitchen Assistants to work for our client based in London and surrounding areas.
The successful post holder will assistant the provision of the catering service within a Care Home setting.
- To assist in the provision of the catering service
- Ensuring the food preparation areas are clean and hygienic
- Washing utensils and dishes and making sure they are stored appropriately
- Sorting, storing and distributing ingredients
- Washing, peeling, chopping, cutting and cooking food and helping to prepare salads and desserts
- Disposing of rubbish
- Cleaning the food preparation equipment, floors and other kitchen tools or areas
- Must have experience in catering or service industry and have knowledge of Food Hygiene Regulations
- Enhanced DBS Check on the update service
- 5 years’ work reference
Working hours: Monday to Friday – 9:00 am to 5:30 pm
