As a Kitchen Assistant that will mean helping to prepare and serve nutritious, healthy meals that our residents will love. You\'ll demonstrate the highest standards in cleanliness, food safety and hygiene. And, whether you\'re maintaining food supplies and fridge/freezer temperatures, showing new starters how to use the equipment or scrubbing that last bit of spilled food from inside the oven, you\'ll always have Resident wellbeing in mind above anything else.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and service of nutritious meals that residents will enjoy, while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety and hygiene.
• Maintain food supplies and monitor fridge/freezer temperatures.
• Support new starters by training them on equipment and processes as needed.
• Ensure resident wellbeing is considered in all tasks.

Qualifications

• HC-One are looking for a Kitchen Assistant with some kitchen experience, but you\'ll have either an NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation or be willing to study for one.
• Strong record keeping and organisational skills; ability to follow recipes.
• When communicating with a Resident or co-worker, you\'ll be truly considerate and kind.
• Safeguarding is everyone\'s responsibility; ability to recognise signs of potential abuse, harm or neglect and know what to do if concerns arise. Attendance at safeguarding training appropriate to your role and willingness to undertake additional training are required; you should be able to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
