Aramark UK are currently recruiting a Breakfast Chef to join our team, working at Alanbrooke Barracks, Thirsk.

Rise and shine before dawn - the breakfast chef is the first on the scene, fuelling the force with precision and pride. From sizzling bacon and golden hash browns to perfectly poached eggs and avocado on toast, every plate is a mission. You'll be prepping, cooking, and serving hearty breakfasts to hungry military personnel and contractors, keeping operations running smoothly with sharp timing and spotless standards. It's fast-paced, demanding, and full-on; but nothing beats the buzz of feeding those who serve.

To be eligible for this role, due to the sector requirements:you must have been a UK resident for the past 3 years and have legal right to work in the UK and be able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks.

What we offer:

• This is a part-time position of 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday, leaving the rest of your day and your weekends completely free - a rarity when you work in hospitality!A typical shift is 06:30 - 09:30.
• The rate is £14.60/hour. £11,426/annum.

A day in the life of a Breakfast Chef:

• Cooking and preparing food ready for breakfast service, ensuring minimal wastage. Occasionally providing fine dining (silver service level) for functions/hospitality events.
• Working collaboratively as part of a team of chefs and acting as a trainer/ coach for new team members to learn procedures and standards for all kitchen tasks.
• Following recipe cards to prepare, cook and serve a range of meals
• Assisting with deliveries and stock checks, placing food orders, and maintaining kitchen records.
• Monitoring and recording temperatures of fridges, freezers, hot cabinets, and serveries. Completing daily paperwork to cover due diligence.
• Assisting in daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans.

You will be set up for success if you have:

• Relevant culinary qualification (706/1 or 706/2 or equivalent).
• Excellent team player and communicator.
• A confident chef.
• Security checks and DBS required for this role.
• Flexibility and the ability to innovate.
