A prominent healthcare provider in the UK is seeking a Rheumatology Clinician to manage outpatient and inpatient care. The role involves attending multidisciplinary meetings and ensuring high clinical standards while participating in continuing education. The ideal candidate will have a full GMC registration and demonstrated NHS experience. Opportunities for education, research, and quality improvement are available, making this a valuable position for growth in a vibrant healthcare setting.
This is a clinical post focused in the Rheumatology outpatients setting with potential for education, research, and quality improvement.
Clinical commitments will be up to 7 outpatient clinics per week. There will be a requirement to assess and manage Rheumatology in-patients. One clinical session per week will cover the rheumatology helpline to answer clinical queries from patients and one clinical session to write prescriptions for biologics for both inpatients and outpatients.
Attendance at a weekly multidisciplinary team meeting regarding the use of biologics and treatments for ANCA associated vasculitis and complex connective diseases.
There may be opportunities for the post-holder to get experience in a variety of specialist clinics including Early Inflammatory Arthritis, GCA, Autoimmune Connective Tissue Disease with access to MSK and Vascular Ultrasound. There are also opportunities for involvement in education and clinical trials with provision of appropriate training.
