We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Music Therapist to deliver therapeutic input across two of our hospital sites in the Midlands region. This is a rewarding opportunity to use the power of music to support recovery and wellbeing in both adult and young people’s mental health services.
About the Role:
You will provide high-quality, evidence-based music therapy as part of the therapeutic programmes at:
Kings Norton Hospital (7.5 hours/week) – a specialist adult mental health hospital providing care and support for individuals with complex mental health conditions.
Ivetsey Bank Hospital (7.5 hours/week) – a Tier 4 CAMHS hospital supporting young people with a range of mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individual and group music therapy sessions tailored to patient needs and goals.
Work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams.
Contribute to assessments, treatment planning, and outcomes reporting.
Support emotional expression, communication, and rehabilitation through music.
What We’re Looking For:
HCPC-registered Music Therapist.
Experience in CAMHS and/or adult mental health settings is desirable.
A creative, flexible, and person-centred approach.
Excellent communication and teamworking skills.
Ability to travel between the two hospital sites.
Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS.
