Facilities Supervisor – Retail Shopping Centre (Hyde)
Location: Hyde, Greater Manchester
Hours: 30 hours per week
Pay: From £13.00 per hour (during probation) £14 per hour upon completion
Contract Type: full time
Schedule: rostered in advance, 7 days a week

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Facilities Supervisor to join our team at a busy retail shopping centre in Hyde. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all visitors.
You’ll lead a dedicated team of cleaners, manage daily operations, and ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are consistently met across the site. A lot of the hours is made up of front-line cleaning as well not just supervision

Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and coordinate the cleaning team on a daily basis
• Create and maintain cleaning schedules aligned with centre operations
• Manage staff rotas, including cover for holidays and absences
• Oversee cleaning activities to ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards
• Monitor team performance, providing coaching and training as required
• Conduct regular site inspections and promptly address any issues
• Liaise with Centre Management and external contractors as needed
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing staff development
• Maintain accurate records (training, attendance, equipment usage)

About You
• Proven experience in a supervisory or facilities role (retail or shopping centre experience preferred)
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Organised and detail-oriented, with excellent time management
• Confident knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment, and products
• Positive, hands-on attitude and high standards of work
• Flexible and reliable—able to respond to urgent issues when required
• Health & Safety awareness (COSHH and manual handling knowledge desirable)
• Very flexible approach to work. Able to work weekend and cover at short notice due to staff sickness
