A leading IT service provider is seeking a Network & Infrastructure Engineer to manage VLANs, firewall (Fortigate) setups, and VMware environments. This role is fully onsite in Farnborough, offering £450 to £480 per day for a 6-month contract. Ideal candidates should have robust experience in network management and be familiar with change control processes.

We're seeking an Network Engineer with strong experience in VLAN management, routing, and firewall administration (Fortigate). You'll manage VMware/vCenter environments, Dell server iDRAC, and mixed-vendor networking (Fortinet, Dell, HPE/Aruba). The role requires hands-on oversight of on-prem systems, adherence to change control processes, and maintaining secure, stable operations across firewalls, virtualisation, Wi-Fi, and physical servers.
Skillset Required
- Networking (especially around VLAN management and routing)
- Firewall management (Fortigate)
- VMware / vCenter
- iDRAC management
- Familiarity with change control processes (to follow the client's internal procedures)
Onsite Systems
- Virtualisation: VMware
- Firewall: Fortigate 201F
- Networking: Mix of Fortinet, Dell, HPE / Aruba HPE switches
- Wi-Fi: Aruba HPE
- Physical Servers: Dell
