Job summary
A leading recruitment firm is seeking a Head of Care & Support to provide strategic leadership across multiple sites in the North. The successful candidate will have a strong background in social care leadership, with a focus on compliance and team development. This permanent position offers a competitive salary of £74,249, along with a £3,840 car allowance and requires regular travel across the North.

Location: Home-based, with regular travel across the North (Newcastle, Lancashire, Cheshire, Leeds, Bradford, Leicestershire, Sheffield, Derbyshire and surrounding areas)

Your challenge will be to build on solid foundations, nurturing leadership capability, embedding consistency, and enabling transformation without losing sight of what matters most: people.
- Lead with purpose: inspire and empower leaders across multiple localities to deliver great outcomes for the people we support.
- Shape culture and direction: embed compassion, accountability and learning in equal measure.
- Balance transformation and stability: strengthen governance, quality and performance while driving improvement and innovation.
- Providing visible, values-led leadership across a multi-site portfolio of services.
- Translating strategy into meaningful delivery, rhythms and expectations for teams.
- Ensuring quality, safeguarding and compliance are consistently strong and assured.
- Developing people and culture through coaching, support and accountability.
- Partnering with peers to align people, systems and performance with strategic goals.
- Using data and insight to drive service improvement and financial sustainability.
- A seasoned social care leader with experience across regulated adult services (ideally learning disability or complex support).
- An emotionally intelligent and inclusive leader who builds trust and brings clarity.
- Skilled at leading through others, shaping culture and maintaining focus through change.
- Confident at both strategic and operational levels – grounded, credible and purpose-driven.
