Senior Electrical Design Engineer
Job summary
An entertainment provider is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to create and implement innovative electromechanical solutions for exciting products. This role involves developing high-quality electrical designs and maintaining thorough documentation. The ideal candidate will have expertise in 3D CAD, especially SolidWorks, and a practical approach to prototyping. A background in Oracle MRP Manufacturing and Agile PLM is a plus. This is a permanent position based in Manchester, UK, with a competitive salary range of £60,000 to £70,000 a year.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in electrical design engineering.
- Proficient in creating technical documentation.
- Experience in risk assessments and mitigation strategies.

The role - specifying, designing and implementing electromechanical solutions for new products and enhancements to current products, producing quality design models and CAD data for our electronic machines.
- Design Development : Deliver high‑quality electrical designs
- Technical Documentation : Create and maintain comprehensive design documentation
- Project Planning & Estimation
- Risk & Planning Input : Contribute proactively to project planning activities, including risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
- Requirements Analysis : Engage with internal and external stakeholders to extract, interpret, and validate technical requirements
- Change Management : Update and manage the requirements documentation
- 3D CAD expertise (preferably SolidWorks)
- Understanding of design for manufacturing and value engineering processes
- Hands on approach to workshop prototyping
- Experience of Oracle MRP Manufacturing & Agile PLM
