The Role

Starting in January 2026, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and rigorous Engineering and Design Technology lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.

  • Planning and delivering high-quality lessons with a specific focus on Engineering principles, Systems & Control, and CAD/CAM.
  • Inspiring the next generation of engineers through practical, hands‑on learning.
  • Teaching relevant BTEC or GCSE/A-Level Engineering specifications (experience with software like SolidWorks, 2D Design, or Fusion 360 is highly desirable).
  • Collaborating with the Science and Maths departments to promote cross-curricular STEM projects.
  • Maintaining high standards of health and safety in the workshop environment.
The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a teacher who is not just an educator, but an innovator. You should have:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) in the UK or an equivalent overseas qualification.
  • A degree in Engineering, Product Design, or a related field.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Engineering, including electronics, mechanisms, and pneumatics.
  • A track record of raising attainment and motivating students of all abilities.
  • The ability to commit to a long‑term position starting January 2026.
