Job description

The Role

Seeking a proactive and technically skilled individual to take ownership of the CNC and Laser department. You’ll be directly responsible for running, programming, and setting up a variety of CNC and laser machinery, including 3 and 5 axis routers and a high-performance laser cutter.

Your responsibilities will include :

• Developing machine-ready programs for 3-axis routers using 2D CAD / CAM (Alphacam).
• Adjusting and uploading programs for 5-axis equipment based on operational parameters and offset values.
• Configuring machines with jigs, fixtures, and tooling for efficient production.
• Acting as the go-to technical expert for the CNC cell, offering support and knowledge sharing across the team.
• Ensuring all work aligns with health, safety, and quality standards, while carrying out routine machine maintenance.

The Candidate

• Strong understanding of 3-axis and 5-axis routing techniques and workflows.
• Confident in programming, setting, and running CNC machines across different platforms.
• Skilled in interpreting technical drawings and NC code.
• Competent in using measurement tools (e.g. micrometers, verniers) to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Experience working with CAD / CAM software (preferably Alphacam).
