We are working with a family-run contractor in Surrey who are looking to recruit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team.
This role offers excellent hands-on exposure to live projects while working closely with the Commercial Manager, giving you the opportunity to build your skills and progress your career within a supportive environment.
The Role:
- Prepare applications for payment and track client notices
- Assist with budgets, cost monitoring, and monthly reporting
- Support subcontract procurement, payments, and final accounts
- Help manage variations, delays, and contractual matters
- Carry out site visits to monitor progress, record variations, and liaise with project teams
- Develop strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and colleagues
About You:
- Degree (or working towards) in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- Previous experience in surveying or construction management (desirable)
- Knowledge of JCT contracts (advantageous)
- Strong IT skills, particularly Excel
- Full UK driving licence
- Must have the right to work in the UK
