Job Description
The Property department's Infrastructure Engineering team maintains, enhances, and supports the Bank's occupied building environment, providing excellent engineering services for all staff while supporting the Bank's primary business functions.
Job responsibilities include:
- Delivering planned, preventative maintenance tasks via the IWMS system.
- Supporting reactive maintenance tasks allocated through the IWMS.
- Updating maintenance tasks within the IWMS system.
- Attending to engineering faults, prioritizing responses, and ensuring safe working environments with minimal downtime.
- Performing routine maintenance across critical and non-critical building systems including HVAC, electrical, public health, fire, and others.
- Proactively seeking to improve engineering maintenance with innovative ideas.
- Conducting statutory testing on life safety and other critical systems.
- Supporting statutory testing of Life Safety systems across the site.
- Assisting OEM contractors with system and asset maintenance, reactive, and emergency tasks.
- Participating as an Authorised Person (HV/LV) to support 24/7 operations within the bank's SSoW.
- Completing annual training and performance objectives.
- Acting as a Health & Safety ambassador to promote a safe working environment.
- Completing work according to methods, risk assessments, SLAs, and customer standards.
- Encouraging teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Participating in on-call support for incident response.
- Preparing for a double day shift from Q4 2025.
- Conducting incident management and recovery exercises as directed.
Person Specification:
- Minimum City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant engineering subject.
- IOSH Operating Safely qualification.
- Security Vetting to SC Clearance (provided by the Bank).
- Experience with IWMS maintenance tools.
- Experience with HVAC, BMS, Electrical, Public Health, and Life Safety Systems.
- Knowledge of Safe Systems of Work procedures.
- Understanding of statutory and compliance obligations.
- Ability to interpret mechanical, electrical, and control drawings.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Judgment and decision-making abilities based on procedures.
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage workload effectively under pressure.
- Commitment to high standards and customer service.
Salary and Benefits:
The pro-rata salary is £37,260 per annum, with benefits including pension, performance awards, flexible benefits allowance, annual leave, private medical insurance, and income protection.
