A charitable organization seeks an Assistant Shop Manager for the new Whaley Bridge Lighthouse Charity Shop, opening in January 2026. You will support the Shop Manager in motivating the team, managing stock, and ensuring excellent customer service. Previous retail experience and strong communication skills are essential. Hours: 22.5 hours per week working 9am-5pm Monday to Saturday
Pay: £12.34 per hour

Location: Whaley Bridge Lighthouse Charity Shop (this is a new shop and will be opened in January 2026!)
We are looking to recruit a Shop Manager for our brand new Whaley Bridge Lighthouse Charity Shop. This shop will be opened in late January 2026.
As assistant shop manager you will assist and support your shop manager to motivate your team, creating a safe and energised work environment, whilst setting high standards in customer care. You will ensure the effective day to day running of the Lighthouse shop, assisting the manager in achieving agreed sales targets, maximising profit and providing effective support of volunteers in accordance with Valley CiDS standards and policies.
Processing stock deliveries will regularly involve carrying and moving (sometimes heavy) bags of stock. You will also be on your feet for long periods of time. On occasions you may be required to work on your own within the shop.
